Hi, Christie, I am looking at your WAGS trip a few days ago and now that it's saturday, 01/02, wondering if I can use at least some of your strategy. My specific question involves Phazyme; was there a RR earned with that transaction or was that a filler for you to max out your coupons? Another question that pops up for me is the meters; so hard to find but I think the newest store usually has supply. But, it is far away and I watch my gas costs. Now, is the extra RR promo for buying 2 Bayer products still applicable or did it expire after your trip? Thanks so much for all you do; so helpful to us out here. BTW, if you see a Children's Throat Coolers Q, could you let me know? That's a good product and CVS is repeating their promo from last year. I haven't found the matching coupon for it yet. I am not as "up" on this stuff as you, but keep me in mind for requests. Thanks so much, Jan Brooks :)

Oh, I just read your comment under the photo! Sorry, only question applicable now is the $13 Bayer product RR return; still valid today, saturday, 01/02????

Hi Jan,

The Bayer Deal should run all month long, both the $5 and the extra $3 for buying 2 meters! Now if I only had more coupons for the meters. All the clipping services are out and the prices are CRAZY on ebay right now. If you have coupons you might be able to ask your manager to order some for you.

The Phazyme was only untl 12/31 and there was no RR but it did give $1 overage so that was really why I bought it.

Who makes the Children's throat coolers? I'll certainly keep my eyes open for it. :-)

hi, christie, how are you? update time! :)

1. 2 out of 3 walgreens stores honored the Bayer meter MQs and the machine spit out the $13 RR; this would not have happened without you! Thanks so much...don't know why one store had to be obstinate, but, oh, well, I moved on! :)

2. In gratitude, i will send you a Bayer meter MQ, no cost. Send your addy to Jan_believes@yahoo.com and I will mail you one MONDAY!!!

3. Yeah, I was late on the Phazyme, didn't make my to do list because I was getting my "stash" together to give to Salvation Army on WED/Thursday, thru 12/31. I gave them 16 meters, a new handbag (CVS-haha!), and various HBA items, everything new, for giving and tax receipt!

4. Your blog and shopping assistance is so easy and thanks so much for sharing it with us who are desperately trying to save where we can. Blessings to ya!

5. I also bought 2-Cascade tabs and 1-mr clean eraser to qualify for the $2.50 RR and already used it on the $3.00 grape juice and puffs at Walgreens since I caught a cold this week! These were OOP items, necessary household cleaners, so always nice to get a reward for regular buying. Again your scenario pointed me in the right direction on this! Thanks...ok, nuff said, but have a wonderful week and many thanks! :)

PS BTW, the Throat coolers may be a misunderstanding off an AFC post. RE: CVS clipless book from Jan 09 may have been inadvertently reported on as a jan 2010 booklet and bargains listed were probably from last year. Disregard until further notice...

I'm so glad you were able to get those meters! And you totally did the right thing when you had the one store that didn't honor your Q! It's not like they aren't getting paid, they just aren't getting paid by you. :-)

Check out my post for this week, there are some good freebies even without RR. I love free toothbrushes!
