As part of a new initiative to help its customers stay healthy Publix is giving away FREE supplies of metformin, the generic verison of Glucophage, a common diabetes medicine. On average, a Publix pharmacy customer with no insurance would pay $21 monthly for Metformin. So this means a savings of over $250 a year! This isn't a one time deal, you can get a FREE 30 day supply of either 500, 800 or 1,000mg doses and there is no limit to how many refills you can get!
This is in addition to the program that Publix has offered for the past few years where it provides FREE 14day supply of 8 common antibiotics. I've taken advantage of the FREE antibiotics on many occasions and will now be telling everyone I know with diabetes about this great opportunity! You can go HERE to get information on the program.
(Thanks David for the heads up!)
